The sea caves are what make Caves Beach truly unique, but timing and preparation are key to enjoying them safely.
Check the Tides First
The caves are only accessible at low tide. Aim to arrive as the tide is going out or at its lowest point to allow plenty of time to explore before the water returns. It's important to explore the caves safely!

Wear the Right Gear
Closed shoes with good grip are essential, especially if you’re exploring with children. The rocks can be uneven and wet in places.
There are lots of rock pools accessible through a tunnel in the caves. Kids love splashing, swimming and exploring them, so swimmers, towels and hats are a good idea. Don't forget your sunscreen (yep, I'm a mum LOL!).
Keep It Simple with Kids
The caves are fascinating for children, but supervision is important. Stick to the main accessible caves and avoid climbing or venturing too far when the tide begins to turn.
Bring a Camera (and Respect Nature)
The light inside the caves can be spectacular, particularly in the morning. Take photos, but leave shells and rocks where they are so others can enjoy the experience too.
